Biostatistics : Health care statistics
Biostatistics or health care statistics has been the only class so far in the nursing curriculum that required more than reading, papers and research. This statistics class required using excel spreadsheets for many calculations. This was an online nursing class and may have been easier if taken in a traditional class room setting. Many of us were not familiar with using these calculation in excel which made for a large learning curve.
Throughout this class many tools were used to assist with these calculations and excel help was needed along the way. I am offering some of the resources that were used during this class to help with excel.

Excel is Fun on Utube
- This channel was very helpful and was used a lot. You can search many different excel tricks and often find instructions for excel 2003 and 2007. The videos have step by step instructions that were a tremendous help for someone who needed a lot of help with excel.
