Welcome to the first edition of the nurses neighborhood news. The nurses neighborhood news is designed to be an ezine for the nursing profession. We want to make both this site and this ezine what YOU want it to be. Whether you are a nurse, a nursing student, or someone thinking of becoming a nurse we want to hear from YOU. What's new at Nurses Neighborhood? We are growing slowly, but hope to grow every month. Our goal for 2010 is to offer great information a lot more frequently than we have in the past. We are starting with publishing our first ezine to get the momentum going. As a full time student with a full time job time has been limited. Time management strategies are on the list for the coming months additions... so stay tuned.... So what are the new additions? Have you thought about the area of nursing you are interested in? We have added two new pages on the types of nursing careers. 1. Pediatrics is an area of nursing working with children. Pediatric nurses take care of both their patient's and their families. Want to know if pediatric nursing is right for you? Read more here. 2. One very specialized area of pediatric nursing is the neonatal intensive care. Taking care of these tiny little babies can be a challenge but can also be very rewarding. Read more here. Now for you nursing students and as a refresher to those of us who have been out of our initial nursing program for a while... what are the patient rights of medication administration? Have a look here. If you have not visited us in a while there may be more you are missing so look around. Monthly Deals!! Coming soon!! In the near future we will be adding an area for our readers to submit their own original work. These submissions can be articles that you have written, a story such as the day in the life of a nurse or nursing student, or anything else related to nursing or our site. We will review all submissions and if your submission is posted you will receive recognition and a link to your nursing website or blog if you have one.
